  2. Your VeVe Account

What happens to your VeVe account if you die?

How to specify a beneficiary for your account if you die and how to access a deceased users account if there is no nominated beneficiary.

Process to nominate a Beneficiary on your Account

By contacting VeVe Support you may nominate a beneficiary to receive any Gems and Collectibles within your Account if you die (Deceased User’s Account). This provides for the transfer of a Deceased User’s Account to the User’s chosen beneficiary in the easiest manner possible. If you wish to nominate a beneficiary (Nominated Beneficiary) to inherit your Gems and Collectibles within your VeVe Account in the event of death, please contact VeVe Support and provide the full name and date of birth of the Nominated Beneficiary and a copy of valid government-issued photo identification of the Nominated Beneficiary.

Upon the Nominated Beneficiary claiming the account, the Nominated
Beneficiary will be required to complete our usual KYC onboarding process to
ensure the person claiming the account is the Nominated Beneficiary.
You may cancel or change your Nominated Beneficiary at any time prior to your
death.

Please be sure to advise your Nominated Beneficiary that you have nominated them
as the beneficiary of your Account (and/or provide a note in your relevant estate
papers so that your beneficiary will become aware of your VeVe Account) and have
obtained their permission for you to upload their personal information. It will be the
responsibility of your Nominated Beneficiary to contact us and to request a transfer of
the Gems and Collections within your VeVe Account to them following an event of
your death.

Accessing a Deceased User’s Account by the Nominated Beneficiary

If the User has nominated you as the Nominated Beneficiary to inherit Gems and
Collectibles within a Deceased User’s Account, the User will have irrevocably
authorised us to transfer the relevant Gems and Collectibles in the Deceased User’s
Account to you.

In order for us to process the transfer of any Gems and Collectibles in the relevant
VeVe Account to a Nominated Beneficiary, you as the Nominated Beneficiary will
need to complete the following matters with us:
1. Providing us with a copy of the User’s Death Certificate (certified as a true
copy of the original); and
2. Unless you are an existing User of VeVe, opening a VeVe account and completing KYC.

Accessing a Deceased User’s Account if a Nominated Beneficiary has not been specified

If a User has not selected a Nominated Beneficiary per the above process, we may be able to facilitate the transfer of Gems and Collectibles within the Deceased User’s Account to an appropriate Executor or Beneficiary in accordance with the User’s Last Will and Testament, Grant of Probate (or equivalent, such as letters of administration) and relevant inheritance laws.

In order for us to process the transfer of any Gems and Collectibles in the relevant
Deceased User’s Account to the User’s Estate, the relevant Executor(s) (or one of
them if there is more than one) as named in the relevant Grant of Probate (or
equivalent, such as letters of administration) will need to complete the following:

1. Provide us with a copy of the User’s Last Will and Testament, Grant of
Probate (or equivalent, such as letters of administration) (certified as a true
copy of the original);
2. Provide us with a copy of the User’s Death Certificate (certified as a true
copy of the original); and
3. The Executor  (or equivalent person) who will have legal authority over
the User’s estate) as named in the Grant of Probate (or equivalent)
will need to complete KYC as if the Executor were opening a new VeVe account for
themselves. If there is more than one Executor we may require the other Executors to sign a letter confirming that the Executor has the authority to act on behalf of the other Executors in relation to the User's Account.

Once we have reviewed and confirmed these documents, we will advise you the
the outcome of the transfer of the Gems and Collectibles within a deceased User’s
Account to the relevant beneficiary.

The above is a guideline and the exact process may differ at our discretion from case to case depending on the particular circumstances of the Deceased User, the Executor(s) and/or Beneficiaries, such as the relevant jurisdictions involved and particular documentation provided.
