How can VeVe change my collectible if it's minted on a blockchain?

NFTs are unique identifiers stored on the blockchain, but the appearance of the collectibles connected to them are controlled by VeVe

An NFT, or non-fungible token, is a unique identifier that lives on the blockchain, allowing for an immutable record of ownership and authenticity. Whilst blockchains are great at recording transactions, they are terrible at storing data and information.

Storing large amounts of metadata and information (such as a collectible's appearance) "on-chain" is too computationally heavy and cost-exhaustive. Instead, each token, or NFT, represents a specific VeVe collectible on the blockchain, however, the metadata that is attached to that token, such as the collectible's appearance or animations, live within VeVe servers. This allows us to upgrade appearances and add new features and animations, adding to the utility (and the fun!) you have with your NFTs
